Your Bridal Fitting
Preparing your wedding dress for the big day is a uniquely personal experience. Expect to come for a number of fittings starting a few months before your wedding to allow plenty of time and ensure you are relaxed.
We'll start with an initial consultation with you, your dress, shoes and underwear, if you have it. You're very welcome to bring someone with you to your fittings if you would like to.
You'll try your dress on in a private setting in my purpose built studio in Gedney Hill and we'll start by talking through the parts of your dress to be altered or adjusted. I'll be happy to listen to your ideas and any concerns.

I'll then start looking in detail at the fit of the bodice, shoulders or straps and consider any adjustments, pinning and tacking.
We'll review the length of the skirt and discuss any changes to the length but we may leave making any such changes until the bodice adjustments have been completed, as these can affect the way the dress hangs.
If the dress needs to be shortened we will talk through the options for shaping the train at the back, if you have one.

We'll agree the timing of your next fitting and you'll leave the dress with me while I carry out the work we've agreed on at that stage. This would typically be about 3 weeks. I'm flexible and can offer early evening or Saturday morning appointments if you are not able to come in the week.
At the next fitting you'll try the dress on again so that we can check the fit and look at any adjustments as well as any further work required.
Pricing and payment:
I charge based on £25 per hour, including fittings, and require payment up front for the work to be carried out at each stage.
